Two days Workshop on Entrepreneurial Orientation was organized for the final year students of Thangavelu Engineering College and TJ Institute of Technology and Management at the TEC Auditorium on 20.08.2015 & 21.08.2015. The programme was arranged by the Placement Department of the Thangavelu Group of Institutions in association with the,NSIC [National Small Industries Corporation] Technical Services Centre, Government of India, Guindy, Chennai. Dr. K RAVEENDRAN, Principal, TJ Institute of Technology, called up on the students to utilize the golden opportunity of the Workshop on Entrepreneurial Orientation to find better routes to succeed employment opportunities. Around 870 students participated in the programme. Shri A. ARUL PRABAHAR, Assistant Manager, NSIC Technical Services Centre, Chennai, who was the Chief Guest for the programme, in his elaborate speech to the students, highlighted the role of NSIC Technical Services Centre, Chennai, various schemes for the promotion and development of small enterprises in Tamilnadu and the inherent qualities needed for a budding entrepreneur. He interacted with the students on various qualities for a budding entrepreneur and the schemes of the NSIC Technical Services Centre, Chennai. He also displayed power point presentations on the essential leadership skills and enthused the students to choose self employment as a way to progress in life. Shri. R.HARISH, Assistant Manager, NSIC Technical Services Centre, spoke at length about the role of MSME DI and the innumerable skill development programmes offered by the organization in the aid of the educated unemployed men and women to hone their skills for better wage employment and self employment. Shri P.S.VIJAY, Placement Officer of Thangavelu Group of Institutions and Shri KM.MURUGAPPAN, Co-ordinator and Smt. R.SUNDARI, Co-coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell, and Smt. M.UMA, Hospitality In charge of Thangavelu Engineering College, Chennai have organized & participated in the programme.
