Guest Lecture on Structural Dynamics & Earthquake Engineering, organized by Dept of Civil, on 31 Aug 2016

A guest lecture on “Structural Dynamics & Earthquake Engineering” by Dr.S.Elavenil, Professor of Civil Engineering, School of Mechanics & Building Sciences, VIT University (Chennai Campus) was organized by the department of Civil Engineering on 31.08.2016 at Seminar Hall, Thangavelu Engineering CollegeChennai. The invitees, the students and staff members of the department attended the lecture. After invocation by students and Welcome address by Mr. P.Sachithanantham, HOD/Civil Engineering, our faculty Ms.M.Sathya, Assistant Professor introduced the Chief Guest to the audience. Felicitation was given by Principal Dr.K.Dhinesh Kumar. Then, the Chief Guest made an interesting and inspiring presentation, with the aid of slides, videos on various aspects of Structural Dynamics & Earthquake Engineering, which kept the audience glued to their chairs. At the end, there was effective discussion on the subject matter with the speaker by the students. Our Faculty Ms.S.Vanitha, Assistant Professor proposed vote of thanks to all concerned.
